FAQ: For Prospective Companies

WHAT IS A MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDER (MSP)?

A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a company that remotely manages a client's IT infrastructure and/or end-user systems, typically on a ongoing basis and under a subscription model. It's not common to find businesses, of any size, that have the resources and expertise to create their own in-house IT department. This is one reason why Managed Service Providers exist.

MSP's can provide the expertise, tools, and processes that many businesses cannot achieve on their own. Whether this MSP does all of the company's IT or works with an internal IT specialist, the MSP should deliver IT services that are stable and reliable. A Focus on Security
Computing systems are very complex and now very interconnected. We implement multiple layers of security on the network. From the network infrastructure like firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi up to user education and every layer in between.

A Focus on Data Integrity
Sometimes things happen, and data might get corrupted, accidentally or maliciously deleted. We implement old-school IT best practices coupled with the best in class onsite and offsite Backup and Disaster Recovery systems to ensure that no data is lost.

We have never lost a single bit of information since our inception, a record we are proud of.

A Focus on Service Delivery
We use Project Management in many areas of our operation. From small to large projects, each one is managed by a certified Project Manager

We utilize a Service Level Agreement with all our ManagedCare clients which outlines our service guarantees such as response times. These metrics are constantly monitored by management to ensure everyone who calls in for help will receive it.

We are Cloud Specialists
Reis owns and operates our own Private Cloud system. We utilize a fortified data centre with reliable and fault-tolerant power and data line backups in the event of a failure. We also offer a wide range of Public Cloud systems. Whether you are looking to move your in-house email to the cloud, Office 365, or need a Windows Application available to your Mac, we can find a solution that fits your needs.

We are Managed IT Specialists
IT equipment and infrastructure give your staff the ability to connect and keep the business running. Imagine if you could cut your costs and resources by up to 40% and enhance the service levels to your staff at the same time... what would that mean to you?

Since 2001 we have been developing and fine-tuning our ManagedCare program, giving you more time to innovate and push your business forward. In that time, we’ve learned a thing or two about what makes the difference between a successful partnership and one that doesn’t work.

Also, this gives both you and the Reis team an understanding of the health of the company’s IT setup and will allow us to talk about where your IT is at currently and where it should be for your business.
